Can't rate this more than a 6 because, other than a place to park, water and 30-amp power, there is nothing. In addition, the highway and 20th street is very noisy. We have been visiting here for many years because it is practically the only game in town.

I hardly ever give a "10" rating, but there was no "9.5" so here is one. The place is beautiful; fully landscaped with pools, waterfalls, dry and wet saunas. On the 202 sites, there were only 15 RVs...total. We almost had one 40 site street to ourselves. The park is 6 or so miles away from the downtown Pahrump area. It was quiet and peaceful. Detractions: The receptionist is flakey, and the design of the campground leaves you wondering sometimes. The sites barely held my 38' motorhome, but were wide. For the money, it is hard to beat (it is a Passport America campground). Definitely would stay again.

Much of what the previous reviewer is true; way too costly and they have the nerve to charge for WiFi and cable. Streets narrow and the sites are all rock except for two concrete paths to park the RV on. It was clean, though. There is a big shopping center nearby. Traffic getting in and out is bad.

This is a hard park to rate. On the minus side, the sites are quite narrow, and the pull-throughs are generally used, making it kind of close. The back-ins were hardly used while we were there (a week), so it would not be that close. I suspect if the park gets full, it is really chaotic. There are only two sites that have any kind of space, one of which we had (#129). There is no WiFi, Verizon service and most sites can't get satellite. I would guess that those reviewers giving it an 8 or 9 didn't care about communications. On the other hand, it is very quiet, peaceful, and the wildlife is fun to watch; deer (white ones, too) turkeys, quail, and jackrabbits. We would camp there again.

At first glance, we said "Oh, boy; what are we in for?". A lot of permanent older RVs, loud music, etc. No place to go so we stayed. It turned out to be better than first thought. It was quiet, the folks were nice and not rowdy; seemed to be hardworking people. The loud music ceased and didn't return. The dirt roads were not a problem because everyone drove slow. We stayed across the street in the "trashy" (I believe the previous reviewer said) part, but didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The place across the street was on the lake but would only take shorter units. anything longer than 32' was a tight fit. All the parks around the Nice area are old...this was the best of the bunch.

On Highway 101, moderate traffic noise. No cell phone service (Verizon), no satellite (trees). Sites very narrow and dusty. It works OK for a one nighter. We had planned to stay 7. Ducks are cute, though.

A set of ear plugs is all this park needs to be a nice park. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was; large, attractive, grass sites, easy in and out. The only drawback was the interstate nearby.

After coming down two miles of barely paved roads, across a one-lane hard-to-access Bailey bridge, we arrived at the campground. One look at the brown grass, rock road, and run-down office, and we said "Oh, my". But...after 3 days into our week, we have a different perspective. The roads are not too dusty because there is not that much traffic; we don't see the office very much; and we are watering our patch of grass. It is very quiet and peaceful, but somewhat rundown. The previous comments about needing cleaning up still apply. Probably because there is only one full-time employee. The sites are wide, but not very deep. We are here on Labor Day weekend and it does not seem at all frantic; still peaceful and quiet. After checking other campgrounds in the area, we would stay here again.

We noticed that previous reviews were up in the 8s,9s, and 10s. We felt as the last reviewer said that it was too tight and not a very comfortable park. Maybe it was the site we were in; at the far reaches of the park and small. Shared hookups put the next door neighbor very close. The car parking was marginal. We would probably find another park next time.

Too bad for the person giving "1". Maybe the kids required watching over, because we didn't find that to be the case. We found it to be really a nice place to stay; quiet and well maintained. Certainly worth the low price we paid. The WiFi wasn't real reliable and the office wasn't always staffed, but close by.

A very nice campground with private sites that were a little closed in; tall bushes surrounded three sides of the sites. The campground was well maintained and very attractive. We would stay there again.

I agree with the Sept 2006 reviewer; but to add, there are two loops; one for larger RVs and the other for campers and tents. The first loop is farther away from the traffic and trains. The campground is really a nice one and would rate a 9 in our book but for the trains and traffic.

Quiet place with large sites, but too many trees for satellite access, could not make reservations, and cash was required.

We have been motorhoming for 13 years on a half-time basis, and this is the second best park we have ever stayed in, considering "bang for the buck". The park was a Corps of Engineers park, turned over to the county, but retaining Golden Age pass privileges! The park is remote, quiet; well-kept and watered regularly, making it very attractive. The sites are huge. In addition, it is on a reservoir with boat ramps. It is one of the best kept secrets around. The only way we found the park was through the previous review here. The only downside is that during the summer it is heavily reserved by the nearby Idaho Falls population on weekends. The management style is laid back and cooperative.

We would class the park as a "tight" big rig park. The sites were narrow but comfortable enough. Our back-in site was kind of difficult to get in and out of. The park was a "comfortable" park and the hosts were very friendly but very busy. Sites and roads were gravel. We would stay there again.

The park offered full service, was fairly handy to all that the area offered, but was dusty and windy. The highway was very near and had a noisy surface. The reason we stayed there was that it was a Passport America park and we were staying for three weeks. If we had to do it again, we would probably opt to stay at a nicer park. Although the WiFi guru said the WiFi was good, I had unreliable service.
